About Laura Teti
ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have always been inspired by the beauty in nature and the impact it can have on human emotion, from trees to insects and beyond. I could happily admire for hours on end its flow, its textures, its symmetry and asymmetry, its flawless imperfections. It compels me to create.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
From an early age, I had a passion for all things creative. Constant doodling as a child gave way to art classes and contests in my teens, and when I was awarded 1st place in the National Wetlands Federation Federal Duck Stamp Competition at the age of 15, I began to fully realize and appreciate my artistic ability. I sketched on every scrap of paper around, and when I grew tired of paper, I sculpted with clay. When I grew tired of clay, I painted murals on the doors and walls of my childhood home, encouraged by my family to pursue my creativity.
After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College), I continued to hone my skills in a wide array of traditional art media, as well as in the digital environment. After spending several years working as a graphic designer and illustrator, soaking up every ounce of knowledge and expertise I could in consumer and pharmaceutical advertising, I branched out on my own as an independent artist.
Today, my range of clientele is as diverse as the works I create. I take pride in being highly professional and ethical, yet approachable and easy to work with. I pour my heart and soul into my artwork, and no matter what the medium, my passion shows.
A SPECIAL NOTE:
To all of those who have encouraged, inspired, and supported my creative endeavors over the years, and most importantly those who have appreciated and accepted me for me, thank you. It is your love and support that has helped me soar, and for that I will be forever grateful.
